The Operations Director leads the overall business operations of the PERC lines including Manufacturing and Engineering to enable smooth functioning of operations and to strive for optimum business performance and financial contribution whilst enhancing manufacturing and operational excellence and delivering absolute customer satisfaction and facilitation the development of people in line with Company’s vision, mission and values.



REPORTING TO: General Manager SPMY

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):

  • Representing as Head of PERC Operations.
  • To provide strategic operational input and leadership.
  • To lead, develop, plan, implement and sustain processes, equipment and procedures within the operations related to manufacturing, engineering and support management functions.
  • To develop annual budget and manage the P&L of the PERC Organization.
  • To initiate and lead operation teams towards continuous improvement to achieve operational goals and excellence in quality, cost and delivery, and to ensure the well secure safety and environment management system to prevent occupational injury, environmental and legal non-compliance.
  • To lead, coach and guide teams to cope with company’s need, to be able to influence teams and motivate the team to adapt to changes and structure the team to contribute to business results.
  • To build a highly inclusive culture where team members thrive and organizational outcomes are met.
  • To deploy resources to ensure business targets within area of responsibility are secured.
  • To identify and drive team competency development both in technical (eg: 8D/ Lean manufacturing/ Kaizen methodology) and management skill for optimum performance. Ensuring that the organization has adequate reliable resources to deliver desired business results.
  • To assist the Head of FAB 3 in achieving established targets, driving operational discipline and accountability in the organization.
  • To assist the Head of FAB 3 for providing strategic leadership for the company by working with the Executive Management Team to establish long-range goals, strategies, plan and policies.



Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or equivalent.
  • More than 10 years of management progression and more than 5 years of Senior leadership experience in a high-volume 24x7 manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of industry trends, benchmarking and world-class metrics in manufacturing processes.
  • Able to maintain a vision/ strategy-driven organization to execute and achieve operational goals.
  • Able to build up a production line from zero
  • Proven ability to lead in a manufacturing team environment with financial responsibility
  • Strong ‘presence’ as a leader – the sort of person who others naturally listen & look up to
  • Energetic to drive and perseverance to make a difference
  • Willingness to relocate to stay close to the office and travel if required.


Added Advantage

  • Master’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration
  • Knowledge of Mandarin reading and speaking
  • Experience in Solar, Semiconductor or Electronics sector
