The Senior International Tax Accountant role is an individual contributor role mainly focused on the Group’s tax compliance for both direct and indirect tax matters of our Philippine entities.

 

This person will also support the Tax Director / Tax Manager to ensure all necessary information is provided to external tax advisors in order to meet the tax compliance deadlines of our legal entities across the globe except Singapore. This includes countries such as the Philippines, Malaysia, Australia, Mexico, China, Europe, etc.   

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Philippines Tax Compliance: Prepares/Reviews and files the following returns withholding tax returns (1600, 1601-E, and 1601-F), indirect taxes (monthly, quarterly VAT returns i.e. 2550M & 2550Q, alphalist, document stamp taxes, etc.), income tax return (1702Q), related party form (1709)
  • Work closely with our GBFS team in the Philippines to ensure proper documentation e.g. official receipts and sales invoices to support our tax filings
  • Tax Accounting: Prepare and provide monthly tax accounting entries, and provision to return calculations as international tax returns are filed
  • Support the Tax Director / Tax Manager to ensure tax compliance and reporting requirements for the Group (ex-Singapore) including the review of tax returns, tax payment calculations, tax forecasts, and deferred tax calculations, as well as technical analysis in support of the statutory audit.
  • Review the tax returns prepared by external service providers to ensure the accuracy of the figures.
  • Assist with tax process improvements projects, which may include automation, work paper improvement, and ongoing continuous process improvement.

 


Minimum Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's with minimum 5 years taxation of relevant tax experience
  • Must have experience with preparing all tax filings and reporting in compliance with all required regulatory bodies in the Philippines (BIR, LGU, PEZA, etc)
  • Must have experience/handled engagements dealing with regulatory bodies in the Philippines (BIR, LGU, PEZA, etc.)
  • Experience with US GAAP reporting requirements would be a plus
  • Knowledge of the Oracle ERP system will be a plus
  • Detail-oriented
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting procedures and time management skills to ensure our group’s strict deadlines are met.
  • Excellent analytical and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across a global organization
