Summary of Role

The IT Systems Manager, Oracle EBS and SOX Support will be responsible for managing support operations for Oracle EBS (ERP), Oracle OIM, OAM and a few local systems and providing support for SOX audits. The ideal candidate should have techno functional knowledge and experience with Oracle Applications framework and underlying technology. He/ she will be responsible for application availability. He/ she should have excellent knowledge in IT Operation process life cycle, Incident Management Change Management, Release management and SOX Compliance process.  


Due to covid and travel restrictions, only candidates residing in Malaysia need to apply. 


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage processes for incidents, service requests, change requests and access requests 
  • Ensure all work requests are received through ServiceNow (IT Ticket System). Ensure tickets are always kept updated. 
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and provide/develop solutions to complex issues in a timely manner while making sure business needs are met.
  • Create and maintain technical support documentation, production application configurations, customizations, and standard operating procedures (protection of information and acquisition of software) 
  • Identify repeating issues and provide solutions to resolve and prevent future issues from reoccurring 
  • Work with the Global Support Head on Monthly activities/reporting and budgets 
  • Liaise with PMO team for tools and guidance on improvement projects 
  • Support Audits (including SOX audits) and other initiatives as applicable 
  • Highlight / escalate risks and issues of ERP and other systems to Global Support Head as applicable 
  • Participate in projects and initiatives as required 
  • Provide guidance and support the users in their efforts to become proficient in the use of the applications 
  • Work with technical developers and database administrators to correct issues in the functioning of the applications 
  • Facilitate in creating training material for users on the use of the business applications 
  • Evaluate the impact of deploying patches and software updates to Oracle eBusiness Suite. 
  • Lead problem resolution support effort related to assigned applications to support the Help Desk. 
  • Ensure that the Change Management process is followed for all systems 
  • Maintain full and accurate documentation of all reported problems along with their resolution 
  • Provide direction and guidance to team resources for all PL/SQL, Report, Interface, Conversion, Extensions, Workflow (RICEW) and infrastructure design, development, and testing 



Minimum Requirements 

  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering
  • 8+ years of techno-functional experience working in various Oracle EBS Modules,   web applications, and integrations between systems for mission critical business operations.
  • Must have experience as a hands-on lead / manager supervising a team of around 5-10 resources / consultants and providing global application support. 
  • Good knowledge in Internal and external IT Audit process and SOX Controls. 
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, excellent organization abilities, and strong leadership skills

 Preferred Requirements 

  • Knowledge and experience in IT best practice framework like SOX, ITIL 4 and IT governance methodologies
  • Experience in ServiceNow system handling incident tickets, change request and problem tickets. 
  • Experience in prioritizing incident ticket and ensure the tickets are resolved per SLA. 
  • Experience in user onboarding, termination process and self-service access request and certification process in OIM  
  • Working knowledge of other modules in Oracle ERP like – Inventory, Purchasing, Order Management, Bill of Materials, Work in Process etc
  • Experience in a manufacturing company is preferred.
