ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Motivate and influence subordinates on the importance of teamwork and co-operates well with other department areas.
  2. Responsible for creating a high morale workplace with the highest ethical standards.
  3. Prepare daily production performance reports to be presented to reporting supervisor.
  4. Maintain workflow on a daily basis by setting up process variables and observing control points.
  5. Complete production plans by scheduling personnel, establishing priorities and reporting the results of process flow to upper management.
  6. Conduct the appropriate process audits and take appropriate containment, corrective, and preventive actions, leading to minimizing or eliminating process deviations and non-conforming product root causes.
  7. Establish and enforce organizational standards for safety and production processes.
  8. Maintain adherence to company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping and manufacturing practices.
  9. Attend to tool and process issues immediately. Use escalation process where necessary.
  10. Suggest and devise improvements to the process, tools, and the department as a whole.
  11. Active involvement in continuous improvement is a must.
  12. Prepare KI/Evaluation, appraisal, and CPR (Career Path Review) for direct reports.
  13. Responsible for preparing APR (Annual Performance Review) and arranging focal increase of direct reports.

 

RELATED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  1. Degree in any discipline
  2. At least 3 years of experience as a production supervisor at an auto manufacturing plant.
  3. The ability to head a team successfully and resolve issues relating to personnel quickly and efficiently.
  4. Experience with production planning, controls, and people management.
  5. Good verbal and written communication in both Malay and English.
  6. Exceptional organization and time management skills.
  7. Strong teamwork and leadership skills.
  8. Computer proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  9. Knowledge of QCC or LEAN will be added advantage.
