Summary
To succeed in this role the candidate will possess sound negotiation and purchasing skills with deep understanding of financial and legal frameworks regulating Equipment sale, Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC).
Strong interpersonal and internal coordination skills would also be required as the role interacts with several internal functions including logistics, application engineering, procurement and sales operations.
Position will report directly to the Sr. Director Utility-Scale Outside US and based in Germany.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Initiate and manage strategic cooperation with Key Accounts across the region to increase share of Maxeon products.
- Recommend strategies aimed at increasing our share within the EPC, IPP and Utility segments
- Lead negotiation of PV supply primarily with Key Accounts based in Germany and Eastern Europe.
- Coordinate activities with operations and procurement team to ensure consistency and competitiveness in pricing, proposal preparation and contract definition across markets
- Maintain knowledge of market trends, regulations and tariffs relative to solar industry
RELATED EXPERIENCE
- Ability to oversee, manage and grow opportunities in a large cross-border territory
- Demonstrated ‘hunter’ mentality with proven track record of independently achieving tangible results in a highly dynamic, growing and competitive market
- Broad based contract negotiation, experience on PV supply contracts with IPP and EPC operating across different countries
- Familiarity with financial analysis tools to assess project investment returns
- Strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and oral communications skills and a reputation as a team player
- Proven ability to develop and deliver high quality presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to promote premium products and sale on value
EDUCATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Graduate degree in Engineering or Business
- Minimum 5 years of business experienced in solar and/or energy industry involving complex sales over several quarters sales cycles
- Proven ability to drive aggressive sales growth and meet targets
- Resilience and ability to evolve in a fast paced industry
- Strong verbal and written communication / presentation abilities
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Candidates must be legally entitled to work and reside in Germany.
