SUMMARY OF ROLE:

 

To work closely with Equipment engineers, Yield/Integration Engineers, and Process Technicians to optimize the process, and support safety, efficiency, output, and quality goals set by the company through continuous improvement.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • To Start-up and Qualify for Production use Furnace PECVD Equipment. Work with Tool Vendors, Facilities Engineering team, and Process Technicians closely to meet set schedules.
  • To engage and work closely with Manufacturing Supervisors/Specialists, Process and

Equipment Technicians to resolve daily line issues and sustain the lines.

  • To provide first level engineering support for Furnaces Process issues and be involved in

engineering projects such as cost reduction, OEE improvement, second sourcing, yield &

reliability improvement and new line/equipment start-up.

  • To review equipment data log, errors, and SPC to ensure equipment and process are always running

smoothly and develop necessary procedures/documentation (SOP, OCAP, etc)

  • To plan training programs for Process Technicians for capability improvement.
  • To monitor and sustain daily process performance.
  • To maintain and achieve good mechanical and electrical yield.
  • To drive improvement projects to reduce cost.
  • To perform root cause analysis on yield and address issues using problem-solving

methodologies such as the 8D approach and 7QC Tools.

  • To support cost reduction for chemicals and spares using data analysis, engineering

evaluation and characterizations.

  • To prepare for and attend required meetings.
  • To comply with the standards, norms, and regulations regarding the quality of the environment,

health and safety and manufacturing.

  • To perform other tasks as required or assigned.

 

RELATED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

 

• Degree or Master's Degree in the field of Photovoltaics, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or related field.

• Minimum 3 years experience in wafer cell manufacturing, wafer fabrication, or PV Cells/

Module manufacturing background is preferable.

• Fresh graduates with good CGPA are also encouraged to apply.

• Analytical, able to perform risk analysis and mitigation with strong problem-solving skills

(FMEA, 5 whys, 8D).

• Good command of computer knowledge including MS Windows applications.

• Good team player with good communication and negotiation skills.

• Ability to speak, write and read in Mandarin is an added advantage.
