ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Maxeon is seeking an Engineering Operator to support engineering task optimally, timely and effectively in a safe and organized manner to meet output requirements while ensuring that product quality meets required specifications. The Engineering Operator reports to the Equipment Engineer/Process Engineer/ Equipment Sustaining Supervisor.

 

  • Performs a wide variety of electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical or measurement product assembly operations on product components, assemblies or sub-assemblies.  
  • Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in component installation, and cable harnessing, welding, and fitting on assembly units. 
  • Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.  
  • Always adheres to all safety protocol and gowning procedures in the manufacturing facility 
  • Be present at the assigned workstation or equipment at least 15 minutes before start of shift for pass down to ensure all pertaining information is shared and be ready to take over from the outgoing shift. 
  • Performs shift duties (12 hours day/night shift). 
  • Performs OT as required by the Supervisor on assigned or other shifts and in emergency situations (typhoon/floods/traffic) may be required to work on 24hrs stretch. 
  • Remains on factory floor 100% of the time performing duties, especially if Supervisor is absent, in meetings or on M/C.  
  • Observes break times at 45 minutes on the first break and 30 minutes on the second break and punctuality at work. 
  • Adheres to proper clean room protocol. 
  • Operates equipment in accordance with the Operation Instructions. 
  • Ensures assigned area/task is always producing good quality product in the most effective and efficient manner. 
  • Plan resources proactively (consumables, tools. Inventory management) to meet targets. 
  • Ensures all data logs and reports are accurately and timely prepared. 
  • Instills and maintains good housekeeping habits to achieve World Class Manufacturing Standards. 
  • Maintain and safekeep of hand tools, peripherals, and equipment. 
  • “Mentors” and helps train new personnel as directed by Supervisor. 
  • Be trained to do manufacturing activities (ex. Jig loading/unloading) when needed. 
  • Be certified in multiple equipment task. (ex. PM support, repacking, hanger) 
  • Escalates to Supervisor any operational concerns including but not limited to yield, quality, output, productivity, break policy, break coverage, housekeeping, safety, and discipline violations/issues in a timely manner. 
  • Highlights to Supervisors if or when any activity will impact their ability to perform normal expected duties. 
  • Proactively identifies issues and initiates corrective actions to solve them. 
  • Identifies and highlights to Supervisor any training needs.  
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by the Supervisor. 
  • Always complies the Environment, Health and Safety and Manufacturing Quality standards, rules, and regulations. 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS 

 

Educational Background and Work Experience:

  • Graduate of 2 yr./3 yr./4 yr. Technology-Vocational Course, with or without work experience.
  • Graduate of 4 yr. Non-Technology Course, with atleast 5 months of work experience in similar or relevant field.

Skills and Competencies:
