SUMMARY OF ROLE

The PMO Lead is responsible for working on the portfolio, program, and project levels within the IT and Digital organization of Maxeon. This is a key role in ensuring that PMO practices, standards, and methodologies are in place to ensure that business units and IT have the right mechanisms to track, report, and control project progress. The PMO Lead shall concurrently act as the secretariat of the Enterprise IT Governance Committee, with members mostly comprising of the Executive Leadership Team of Maxeon, to oversee project prioritization, issue resolution, and decision management in alignment with agreed-upon metrics for capital investments made. To be successful in this role, the PMO Lead should have exposure/experience to project management disciplines and must have the ability to do analysis and visualization of data at different levels in the business.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

PMO Tracking, Reporting, and Project Portfolio Management

  • Develop and maintain all project performance dashboards and prepare overall reports
  • Design, develop and implement project dashboards and analysis hubs for IT PMO
  • Own the Project Portfolio Management (PPM) process and tools
  • Standardize the group PPM dashboards for all pipeline and in-flight projects in the IT and digital organization
  • Coordinate updates on project health metrics from respective Project Managers, IT support and business unit counterparts
  • Devise a mechanism or process to collectively aggregate project data and efficiently communicate value to stakeholders
  • Recommend improvements in the collection, upkeep, structure, and analysis of data related to project performance and overall project health
  • Perform financial analysis on project budgets and forecasts especially on capital investment approved by the Enterprise IT Governance Committee
  • Ensure compliance and partnership with an internal audit on any technology project risk assessment and closure of issues

Enterprise IT Governance Administration

  • Secretariat for the Enterprise IT Governance Committee (EIGC) to prepare the periodic meeting agenda, tag action items to owners, follow-through in the completion of tasks, and recording of decision logs
  • Maintain a record of all EIGC meetings including publication of minutes and major actions
  • Develop, update, and implement the Communication Plan and RACI for the EIGC
  • Ensure that the EIGC charter is always adhered to by committee members
  • Run the clockwork and timebox in the monthly EIGC agenda, including coordination of invited members on key topics related to business case presentation, project financials, and risk assessment
  • Support the Enterprise PMO and Governance Director in running the EIGC and PMO business office
  • Assist in the closure of meeting actions and committee decisions in collaboration with project teams

Communication, Collaboration, and Engagement

  • Communicate value and support PMs in the delivery of messaging in project benefits and success stories in IT/digital initiatives
  • Establish a PM Community of Practice across the enterprise to share best practices, standards, templates, and lessons learned from project managers and value-centric projects
  • Engage and influence key stakeholders in enterprise projects by providing purposeful delivery of communication plans and strategic view of all initiatives

 

RELATED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Education

  • Graduate of Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in the STEM field
  • A Master’s Degree in any allied field is advantageous

Professional Experience and Credentials

  • More than five years combined experience in project management and improvement, PMO, PPM, and data visualization
  • Solid knowledge of project management tools and techniques
  • Highly proficient in MS Excel and data crunching needed in data visualization and analysis to create reports and dashboards
  • Advanced data visualization skills with exposure and usage of any business intelligence platform such as Tableau, SAS BI, Power BI, QlikView, Zoho Analytics, etc.
  • Experience in roles related to demand management and capacity planning of IT resources in a third-party environment is desirable
  • Prior experience as a project manager, program coordinator, or PMO analyst is advantageous
