Regional Sales Manager – Northern California

 

The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for building relationship, managing expectations, driving value and ultimately delivering the sales plan at the distributor and installer level.  


This role would suit a self-motivated, results-oriented individual who is comfortable in an entrepreneurial environment and has a track record of hitting and exceeding sales targets. 
 

The ideal candidate will possess sound commercial and key account management experience coupled with a deep understanding of the PV industry and the distributed generation business.  The candidate must be well connected with relevant stakeholders within the industry, particularly in his or her given region. 

 

Strong interpersonal and internal coordination skills are also required as the role interacts with several internal functions including sales operations, legal, marketing, and logistics.

 

The Regional Sales Manager will report directly to the Sales Director for North America and will be a home-based remote position. 

 

Responsibilities
 

  • Achieve quarterly sales targets and annual plan
  • Train distributor and installer sales teams to properly understand and communicate the Maxeon advantage
  • Manage key accounts
  • Build and strengthen the Maxeon Installer network
  • Enable installers with SunPower sales tools, training, and support
  • Recommend and implement strategies aimed at increasing our share within the distributed generation segment
  • Maintains expert level knowledge of market trends, regulations, and tariffs relative to the solar industry, particularly for his or her region
  • Always complies with the Environment, Health and Safety, and Manufacturing Quality standards, rules, and regulations 

 

 

Related Experience & Educational Requirements Required
 

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of experience in PV or a closely related industry i.e., high-value products sold in the home or commercial segment, where products require installation from a professional and there is some element of after-sales support.
  • 5+ years of sales experience with a track record of hitting and exceeding targets
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Desire/ability to travel up to 50%

 

 

Salary Range: $ 120,000 - 160,000
