Job Summary 
The Commercial Sales Manager will be responsible for strengthening and developing Maxeon’s Commercial Installer network across the United States to continue to grow share in the Commercial Solar market.  
This role would suit a self-motivated, results-oriented individual who is comfortable in an entrepreneurial environment; is capable of forming new and developing existing relationships and has a track record of achieving sales targets.  

To succeed in this role, the candidate will possess sound commercial and key account management experience coupled with deep understanding of the premium PV industry and the distributed generation business.  The candidate should be well connected with relevant stakeholders within the industry.  


Strong interpersonal and internal coordination skills would also be required as the role interacts with several internal functions including sales operations, legal, marketing and logistics. 


  • Achieve quarterly sales targets and annual plan 
  • Manage key accounts including official distribution partners 
  • Build and strengthen the Maxeon installer network 
  • Enable distributors & indirect installers with Maxeon sales tools, training and support 
  • Partner with installation key accounts to develop commercial program opportunities 
  • Recommend and implement strategies aimed at increasing our share within the distributed generation segments 
  • Analyze regional markets and competitive product landscape 
  • Work closely with the Marketing Department and Sales Director to jointly develop regional marketing plans 
  • Drive implementation of robust sales forecasting system throughout the customer base 
  • Manage selling prices, product mix, margins and receivables to pre-defined targets 
  • Negotiate and close contractual partnership arrangements 
  • Maintain knowledge of market trends, regulations and tariffs relative to solar industry 
  • Be the face of Maxeon Solar Technologies in the market including leading local training and promotional events.  



Related Experience & Educational Requirements  

  • Bachelor degree in business or engineering 
  • 5+ years’ experience in PV or a closely related industry i.e. high-value products sold in the home or commercial segment, where products require installation from a professional and there is some element of after-sales support. 
  • Proven ability to drive aggressive sales growth and meet targets 
  • Strong verbal and written communication/presentation abilities 
  • Technical background: ability to communicate and quantify technical advantages of a differentiated product. 
  • Excellent organizational skills. 
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. 
  • Fluency in English is required.    
  • up to 40% domestic travel.  Occasional international travel for meetings, conferences, and factory visits.
