Maxeon is seeking a high-energy Senior Product Manager for Home Energy Management Services.
As a critical member of the Products team, this role will be responsible for the partner selection, delivery and lifecycle of energy management services at Maxeon.
To create the service definition, the role’s tasks begin with refining service portfolio slots defined by the Proposition team into distinct feature sets and a delivery roadmap as well as localization requirements for the different Markets in Maxeon’s footprint.
Consequently, on the implementation side, the role will need to collaborate closely with hardware product managers as well as the teams building Maxeon’s digital touchpoints to ensure the identified value pockets are delivered at the highest quality.
To support decisions during all steps of the services’ lifecycle, this role will lead the data and insights collection through frequent interaction with customer and user groups and subsequently propose & track KPIs.
To lead continuous improvement and innovation the role is expected to analyze the KPI data and propose new initiatives in the area of home energy solutions and related areas in various markets. Core responsibilities include representing the services portfolio inside Maxeon’s product organization and beyond, discovering and evaluating new service initiatives and business cases.
The ideal candidate will be strong both technically and commercially, be comfortable engaging with a variety of stakeholders across our customers, partners, suppliers and internal organization. This person must have a passion for leading and developing services, understand value streams, business flows as good as customer-centric design and be capable of driving business-level decisions at all levels of the organization. This position reports to the Sr. Director, Digital Products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the cross-functional team that designs, launches and owns the end-to-end lifecycle and strategy for energy management services
- Deliver the localized roadmap and own the business case for every service to deliver against the discovered customer needs, value propositions and business models
- Lead the advocating and furthering of recurring revenues, value add across the product portfolio supporting bundles and platform thinking
- Partner with stakeholders throughout our company to set priorities and deliver our new, localized services across Maxeon’s footprint
- Collaborate cross-functionally to develop services, from broad concept development through implementation
- As the portfolio grows, build and manage a highly skilled, diverse team of products managers expanding to every aspect of the partner experience and beyond
- Lead ideation and definition of unique features and services applying Design Thinking and Lean Startup methods
- Ship minimum-loveable-services based on quantitative and qualitative data on user behaviour and experimentation
- Define success metrics and consistently measure the impact of your work.
- Constantly driving challenge-based collaboration to spur a high-performing culture that will develop high-quality services.
- Represent Maxeon at public events (e.g., trade shows, speaking opportunities) as a subject-matter expert.
RELATED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- At least 5+ years of experience as a product manager within Solar or energy services companies.
- Understanding of VPP, Tariffs, subscription business and/or loyalty programs.
- Knowledge of how subscription performance translates to economic outcomes
- Strong subscription analytics skills (conversion, cohorts, retention, MRR, etc.) and solid financial analysis skills.
- Experience of building, maintaining, and owning roadmaps for energy management services
- Proven record of launching b2b and/or b2c services.
- Demonstrable success in launching subscription services with clear metrics and impact on economic outcomes; ideally in Greentech, fintech, e-commerce or startup environment
- Comfortable in steering and cooperating with service providers and white-label business model companies
- Education such as a bachelor’s degree; MBA or a degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, business, finance, economics or equivalent experience.
