Are you ready to power positive change?  

Your Mission: As our Senior Staff Equipment Maintenance Engineer, based in San Jose, CA and reporting to the R&D Engineering Manager, your role will be pivotal in ensuring the safety of your co-workers by ensuring that all work is done using the correct tools and PPE. You will be responsible for establish maintenance guidelines, procedures, and policies related to all equipment in the Lab. Your work with the Lap Operations and R&D teams will work towards ensuring that R&D and the company achieve their goals.

Make Your Mark: How You Will Drive Change:

• Responsible for being certified on all machines and processes within their area.
• Responsible for the Yield, MTTR, MTBA, and Availability of their assigned equipment.
• Perform maintenance and repair on all Lab equipment.
• Support Lab Operations by ensuring equipment is operating at target levels.
• Ensure that equipment will be operated according to defined equipment and process parameters.
• Prepare shift reports related to their area of responsibility.
• Support the evaluation of equipment in the Lab to determine the most appropriate and cost-effective platform for the manufacture of company products.
• Oversee the installation, modification, upgrade and maintenance of Lab equipment.
• Establish solutions for increasing uptime and decrease equipment problems that affect the Lab Operations.
• Provide onsite technical support to Lab Operations during equipment downtime situations including during extended hours (overtime) and weekends in time critical situations.
• Always comply with Environment, Health, Safety and Quality standards, rules and regulations.

Essential for your Success:

We understand that everyone has followed unique career paths, gaining valuable knowledge along the way. Don't worry if you don't tick all the boxes – apply anyway! Your experience is more than just a list of technical skills. 

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline, preferably Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or related courses.
• 5+ years’ experience in equipment engineering and maintenance.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills

• Technical knowledge in several/all specific processes/tools (wet benches, laser processing, PVD, CVD, diffusion, metallization, lithography, cell test, laminators, environmental chambers, etc.).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Complies at all times to the Environment, Health and Safety and manufacturing Quality standards, rules and regulations

It would be Nice if You Have:

• Knowledge and experience in Engineering and SPC tools (FMEA, Tool Lockdown, etc.)

The US base salary range for this position is $152,000-$190,000 + benefits. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location.
