SUMMARY OF ROLE
Maxeon is seeking a ‘Senior Data SME’ to perform business analysis on the functional requirements and solve project challenges for ‘Data Analytics’ program as part of Industry 4.0. The position will be based out of Maxeon headquarters in Singapore. You will work alongside other key stakeholders from business, technology, solution architects and external vendor consultants and report directly to the project manager. Your main tasks will include performing detailed requirements analysis, documenting processes, performing user acceptance testing and liaising with business users on a day-to-day basis. To succeed in this role, you should have a natural analytical way of thinking and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users. You are a pro-active, self-motivated, and resourceful team member with good tech/digital knowledge and possess strong influencing and people handling skills. You are also adept at balancing multiple projects concurrently while constantly looking for new ways to apply digital technologies as part of our Data & Digital Transformation program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):
- Evaluating the current business processes and document the process flow. Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies to improve on the current reporting process.
- Work with the business to support building a business use case anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement for Data Analytics program
- Perform requirements analysis and articulate the business use case to functional requirements to support developing technical solutions.
- Work with the technical team to develop user stories, functional/technical specifications, and acceptance criteria.
- Work with the project team to adopt best practices in data governance, perform data cleansing, pre-processing and feature engineering that facilitate meaningful analysis.
- Design interactive visualization dashboards for data exploration and provide insights to business users
- Conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
- Document and communicate the results of your efforts by building a business requirement document
- Effectively communicate your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
- Gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports.
- Staying up to date on the latest process and advancements in Data Analytics solutions.
- Work closely with business & technology stakeholders. Be a bridging gap between the business and Data Program project team
- Support user acceptance testing from developing a test plan, test scripts and performing User Acceptance test.
- Analyze impact of requested changes and propose improvements to continuously address changing business needs, and work with support team to understand and address technical problems (Operations & Maintenance phase)
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCES
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Infocomm Technology, Computer or Electronics Engineering or business-related field or an MBA.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in business analysis or a related field.
- Advanced technical skills in Data and analytics technologies
- Prior working experience in IT business analysis, application solutioning design and testing
- Participated in at least one full software or product development cycle, preferably using Agile Methodology
- Strong analytical, conceptualization and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills with the ability to pitch ideas and influence
- A driven and motivated personality with an inquisitive mind
- Ability to learn and apply
- The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
- Excellent documentation skills.
- Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
- Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- A track record of following through on commitments.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
- Experience leading and developing top-performing teams.
- A history of leading and supporting successful projects.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Business Analysis certification, e.g., Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
- Past development or consulting experience
- Relevant experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Data manipulation using scripting languages like Python or using ETL tools Visual analytics technologies like Tableau, Qlik or Power BI End-to-end analytics architecture, preferably with some working knowledge of data analytics technology stack
