SUMMARY OF ROLE

 

Maxeon Japan is seeking a Sales Manager to be the primary point of sales contact for Residential and Commercial customers in Japan. The position will be located out of Maxeon Japan Tokyo office and will report to the Managing Director, Japan. The main goal of the position is to meet or exceed quarterly revenue targets by booking projects within the region. The Sales Manager will also drive partner training, solicit feedback on products and services, collect market intelligence and drive product improvements.

The position will work closely with marketing, finance, customer service, partner and technical support, logistics, and channel management to ensure a best-in-class customer experience.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Manage day to day communications with customers in the territory
  • Assign and achieve revenue goals and booking targets for the region
  • Oversee customer pipeline management
  • Help customers drive key opportunities to closure by managing all available Maxeon resources
  • Gather market intelligence from customers
  • Train customers on products, services, solutions and Maxeon Advantages
  • Maintain accurate records of customer communication
  • Work initially as an individual contributor within the sales team

 

 

Required Skills and Qualifications

 

  • 3+ years of experience in B2B or VAR sales or business development
  • Experience in a large, matrix managed and quota driven organization
  • Experience working with contractors
  • Understanding of the sales and construction cycles in commercial solar is preferable
  • Experience managing sales within a CRM, preferably Salesforce
  • Good time management skills
  • A strong desire to be a part of a rapidly growing business unit with an opportunity to progress
  • Strong computer skills, including strength in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
  • Ability to achieve defined results
  • Strong interpersonal skills; well organized; excellent written and oral communications skills; team player attitude
  • Ability to communicate in English

 

Education and Experience Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in sales or business development
  • Native Japanese language speaker
